I hand painted this abstract horse on a silk scarf. The horses mane plays playfully over its neck. Its eye is shut as the horse plays coy with the viewer. It's chin is tucked down in a pout. This image shows the emotion of the horse. They feel emotions just like we feel emotions.
About Karla Kay Benjamin
My name is Karla Kay Benjamin. I am an artist that specializes in hand painted silk scarves & wall hangings as well as Dutch Pour/Liquid Acrylic/Abstract Paintings. While I am a native of the PNW, I attended college at Arizona State University and have a BFA with an emphasis in Fiber Arts/Surface Design. I enjoy working on fabric because when the fabric moves it seems to bring the art to life. I enjoy working on silk because of the beautiful way it absorbs the dyes and shimmers when it moves and the light hits it.
