I painted this magnificent black and white horse at dusk (with a burnt sienna background). The attitude and the feel of the horse came through beautifully in this piece. You can feel the emotions of the horse when you look at the piece. It is very dramatic. It shows the beauty of the horse in all its wildness.
About Karla Kay Benjamin
My name is Karla Kay Benjamin. I am an artist that specializes in hand painted silk scarves & wall hangings as well as Dutch Pour/Liquid Acrylic/Abstract Paintings. While I am a native of the PNW, I attended college at Arizona State University and have a BFA with an emphasis in Fiber Arts/Surface Design. I enjoy working on fabric because when the fabric moves it seems to bring the art to life. I enjoy working on silk because of the beautiful way it absorbs the dyes and shimmers when it moves and the light hits it.
