I hand painted the original Horse at sunset on a silk scarf. The artwork captures the feel of a relaxed sunset. It is the end of the day and you can sit back, relax, enjoy a glass of wine as you observe the horses in the pasture at sunset. The beauty of the horse knows no limits.
About Karla Kay Benjamin
My name is Karla Kay Benjamin. I am an artist that specializes in hand painted silk scarves & wall hangings as well as Dutch Pour/Liquid Acrylic/Abstract Paintings. While I am a native of the PNW, I attended college at Arizona State University and have a BFA with an emphasis in Fiber Arts/Surface Design. I enjoy working on fabric because when the fabric moves it seems to bring the art to life. I enjoy working on silk because of the beautiful way it absorbs the dyes and shimmers when it moves and the light hits it.
