Our luxuriously soft beach towels are made from brushed microfiber with a 100% cotton back for extra absorption. The top of the towel has the image printed on it, and the back is white cotton. Our beach towels are available in two different sizes: beach towel (32" x 64") and beach sheet (37" x 74").
Don't let the fancy name confuse you... a beach sheet is just a large beach towel.

Hand painted silk. This is a steampunk design. Steampunk is a sub classification of science fiction fantasy. Steampunk imagery is often mechanical/Victorian and wild west in nature. Karla Kay Art designs often incorporate 3 dimensional images and perspectives to create depth. This hand drawn and hand painted one of a kind, original silk charmeuse scarf can be worn or hung on the wall. The original piece is 14" X 71". The design is drawn on by hand with a material called resist. Resists are made from different ingredients from wax (think batik) to soap, grease, rice paste and gum arabic. The resist works like a fence border to keep the dyes from spreading out and allows for crisp design edges. The design once drawn on is then painted in with silk dyes using watercolor techniques. The completed piece is then steamed to "fix" the dye to make it a permanent part of the silk material. Once steaming is completed the piece is washed, sewn and ready for use or display.

I enjoy working on silk because of the beautiful way it absorbs the dyes and shimmers when it moves and the light hits it. I enjoy the freedom and the color mixtures you get with Dutch Pour/Liquid Acrylic/Abstract Paintings. You will see both nature and animal themes in my work. I like the outdoors and this is reflected in my art. After...
